Cordelia spent a semester in the north of France as a WEP exchange student:

I can’t tell you how many times I threw away my pride, fear and better judgment and just immersed myself at opportunities. The number of times I agreed to do things without having understood what I was agreeing to at all is infinite!

These experiences mostly applied to the foreign French cuisine - such as the time I agreed to try a shrivelled black balloon only to be enthusiastically told it was fried duck’s kidney.

But isn’t that what exchange is all about? Trying new things, experiencing new cultures, pushing yourself to the limits? Almost every single time I set my mind to trying something new and blindly trusted fate, I was amazingly rewarded.
