Join Erika and other exchange students on WEP’s exchange journey to the land of the rising sun! What better place to join a tea ceremony or flower arrangement club? After a few months into her program, Erika’s first impressions were published on her host school’s website:
My host family has been very kind and helpful. From the beginning they helped me understand the Japanese culture. I enjoy going to school every day and have already joined three clubs: the flower arrangement club, the tea ceremony club and the orchestra (strings, woodwind and brass) club. The club members are very friendly and teach me when I don’t understand or correct my Japanese.
Last month we went on an excursion to Kyoto where we visited some temples and the famous Kyoto University. I hope that I will improve my Japanese and aim to study hard and make a lot of friends.
Congratulations Erika on your progress! Keep up the hard work and enjoy your time in Osaka.
