World Education Program (WEP) Australia is awarding two $3000 scholarships towards semester and year-long student exchange programs to Argentina and China commencing in 2014 (Feb or July/Aug departure). The top 10 short-listed applicants for each scholarship will also receive a $500 discount (for China) or $750 discount (for Argentina) towards a semester or year program to Argentina commencing in 2014.

Applicants MUST currently be:

• in years 9 - 12  (not available to year 12 students in VIC)
• meet the language requirement for our program to China and
• live in NSW, QLD or VIC.

Compare and share your ideas about life on the other side of the world, e.g. culture, customs, life, language, music or anything that interests you! To qualify for WEP's $3000 scholarship, you must submit your short video (minimum 1 minute in duration) as well as:

1. Parental/guardianship and student declaration form (download scholarship forms here: Argentina / China).
2. WEP application form (at this stage medical pages and immunisation records do not need to be submitted)

Scholarship applications will close 8 July 2013. The two winners will be announced 31 July 2013.

For French-speaking Belgium - Congratulations to Dylan from Blackburn High (VIC). Having studied French for four years, he is now very interested in experiencing the Belgian culture first-hand. "I would like to plunge in to the life of a Belgian family and share my knowledge of Australia with them. I want to make good friends with my family and invite them to Australia later." 2010 Winners

Congratulations to Georgia from Sydney Girls High School (NSW), who will live in Rixensart (French-speaking Belgium) for a year. Georgia understands the challenge she has set herself, but is ready to embrace the Belgian culture and find her place in Belgian society.

Congratulations to Amy from Bede Polding College (QLD), who will spend 2010 living and learning in Italy. Amy is looking forward to trying traditional Italian food, making Italian 'amici' and appreciating the famous Italian art.

Hosting scholarships

Although hosting is not a requirement of your outbound program, it is rewarding to be able to provide the same hospitality and care to an international student as your international family will provide for you. Find out more!
