World Education Program (WEP) Australia is awarding two $3000 scholarships towards semester and year-long student exchange programs to Argentina and China commencing in 2014 (Feb or July/Aug departure). The top 10 short-listed applicants for each scholarship will also receive a $500 discount (for China) or $750 discount (for Argentina) towards a semester or year program to Argentina commencing in 2014.
Applicants MUST currently be:

Experience teenage life on the other side of the world, learn another language and return with memories from a life in a faraway land. For our program to Argentina, you do not need to have studied Spanish! Students applying for a program to China need to have studied the language for at least two years prior to their intended arrival. Applicants for WEP Australia's scholarship awards must submit a short video clip highlighting their reasons for wanting to live in their chosen destination. Compare and share your ideas about life on the other side of the world, e.g. culture, customs, life, language, music or anything that interests you! Pick a topic, get your friends to help you and have fun making your WEP video!

"I would like to plunge in to the life of a Belgian family and share my knowledge of Australia with them. I want to make good friends with my family and invite them to Australia later." For French-speaking Belgium - Congratulations to Kahli from Sandringham Secondary College (VIC). Kahli enjoys French history as well as dance and art.
And for Italy - Congratulations to Steven from St. John’s Regional College (VIC). Steven competes in Italian poetry competitions and understands the value of knowing more than one language in today’s society
Congratulations to Georgia from Sydney Girls High School (NSW), who will live in Rixensart (French-speaking Belgium) for a year. Georgia understands the challenge she has set herself, but is ready to embrace the Belgian culture and find her place in Belgian society.
Congratulations to Amy from Bede Polding College (QLD), who will spend 2010 living and learning in Italy. Amy is looking forward to trying traditional Italian food, making Italian 'amici' and appreciating the famous Italian art.
