What is Student Exchange?

Experience this once in a lifetime opportunity to travel and study at an overseas school with the support of a volunteer host family. Every year WEP students around the world exchange their schools, cultures, families and often languages during our summer, semester and year programs to over 20 countries worldwide.

Student exchange will open your mind to a whole new realm of possibilities and your heart to the world. You will gain a true understanding of another culture and return to Australia more mature, independent, tolerant and with memories to last you a lifetime!

Join other WEP students and you could

•    become a member of an overseas family,
•    attend an overseas school,
•    learn a new language,
•    make friends from around the world,
•    immerse yourself into a different culture,
•    experience life as an overseas teenager,
•    explore a new country, culture and customs,
•   have the time of your life!

Discover the world beyond the classroom!

The chance to travel and study overseas with the support of a host family (your second family), school and community is only available to students in years 9-13 and there is no other time that young people can gain such an experience living overseas!

WEP will place you with a loving volunteer family for the duration of your program. If you would like to host an international student, it can certainly be arranged, but there is no obligation for our outbound students and families to host.
