FAQ
Most of our partners schools are located in the city centre, in lively neighbourhoods and strategic positions. They are easy to reach via public transport and they're often close to places of interest, such as famous landmarks, shops, museums...
The answer varies greatly depending on the destination and your chosen accommodation type. In most cases, the travel time between your accommodation and the school will be between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the city, its size, and its public transport system. Please ensure to factor in this aspect when making your choice.
All schools can be reached via public transport. On arrival, your school will provide instructions on the best way to get to and from school daily. In most cases, you'll be travelling to and from school by yourself, however if there are other students sharing your accommodation, or living in the same area as you, you might want to make arrangements with them to travel together. If you're not sure you understand how you're meant to get to and from school, don't hesitate to ask the staff at your school - they'll be happy to assist.
Our partner schools offer students guaranteed transfer services, managed by authorised personnel. Unless otherwise specified (e.g. Lexis Kobe Japan), transfers services attract an additional fee - simply request an online quote to check all available options and related costs.
Homestay families often host several students at the same time, however this is not a guarantee. Whenever possible, we make sure that students sharing the same host family have different linguistic backgrounds, in order to encourage using the local (target) language on a daily basis, maximising every opportunity for you to practice.
All activities are organised through the school, not by the homestay family. Homestay families are simply expected to provide accommodation and meals (depending on your chosen package) in a friendly, safe environment.
