This internship-like program allows Australians to gain valuable professional experience in a supportive overseas environment, while exploring life and culture in France. The program is popular with tertiary students or recent graduates with a background in education, but it is also open to anyone over the age of 18 studying or working in other areas, who have an interest in education or languages.

As a participant, you’ll support English language learning by working alongside local teachers at an educational institution (primary, middle or secondary) in France. Your day-to-day could include coaching language students, lesson planning, sharing Australian customs, getting involved in cultural events and more! Not only will you help enhance students’ English skills and cultural knowledge, you’ll be gaining valuable personal and professional skills along the way.

The program low-down:

Volunteer for 18 hours per week, distributed across 5 or 6 days depending on the school.

Receive accommodation and meals, for the full duration of your program.

This program is available everywhere in France - you may be placed in any region of the country, be it a fast-paced urban centre or a picturesque small village.
