WEP Host Family

Open your home to an exchange student from overseas for a school term, a semester, or a year.

Hosting is an opportunity to share your everyday life with a young person from another culture. As they become part of your family, you'll discover new traditions, perspectives, and ways of seeing the world. From sharing meals and celebrating milestones to chatting about school, hobbies, and family life, cultural exchange happens naturally through the small moments of everyday life.

At the same time, you'll be giving a young person the chance to experience Australia in a genuine and supportive family environment. Through daily life with your family, they'll build confidence, develop independence, improve their English, and gain a deeper understanding of Australian culture.

Many host families tell us they're surprised by how much they learn from the experience themselves. Hosting creates lasting memories, meaningful connections, and friendships that continue long after the exchange has ended.
