Study in Thailand with WEP

On a WEP high school exchange program to Thailand, you'll have a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a Thai high school student, discovering a new education system and way of life.

Whilst living with a Thai host family and attending a local secondary school, you will immerse yourself at 360 degrees into the this fascinating culture, learning the local language, making new friendships and discovering Thailand from the inside.

The Thai education system

The Thai education system comprises four levels, namely: pre-school education (children aged 3-5), primary education (children aged 6-11), secondary education (children aged 12-18 and further divided into lower secondary school for three years and senior secondary school for another three years), and higher education. Both the public and private sectors are involved in providing secondary education, and several international schools are also present.

Senior students in Thailand tend to be very dedicated to their studies, especially as they prepare to enter higher education - which may include colleges, universities, or institutions for specialised studies. Most Thai universities are internationally recognised and accredited.
